As hospitals, health systems and physicians know, the patient financial experience is a critical part of overall patient satisfaction or dissatisfaction with their medical services provider. HCAHPS scores are useful for defining patient satisfaction in clinical areas, but HCAHPS scores don’t provide a view into the patient financial experience.
