Meduit Named in Top 5 Healthcare RCM Companies

Modern Healthcare has named Meduit in the top 5 U.S. healthcare revenue cycle companies. Every year, Modern Healthcare publishes its annual By the Numbers list of the top healthcare revenue cycle firms based on surveys of top healthcare revenue cycle firm leaders.

In addition to the rankings, Modern Healthcare reported that

78.3% of firms surveyed agree:

• With margins under pressure, hospitals are spending about the same or more on revenue cycle consultants
• The growth of value-based reimbursement would increase the need for outside help in revenue cycle management
• People newly insured on the healthcare exchange as a result of losing their jobs represent a bigger challenge for revenue cycle managers because of the difficulty in collecting on co-pays and deductibles

In addition, 59.1% of responding firms see clients requesting revenue cycle outsourcing more frequently than revenue cycle consulting or advisory services, and 54.4% of responding firms agree that cumbersome payer processes are the biggest obstacle to maximizing hospital client revenue.
