Reimbursement for Unpaid Patient Bills due to COVID-19

There is a backlog of reimbursements for COVID-19-related testing, diagnoses, vaccine administration and treatment for hospitals and health systems across the industry. Thanks to our SARA artificial intelligence solution, Meduit is doing something about it. It's an example of how Meduit delivers solutions on the leading edge of healthcare RCM, even during a pandemic.

Provider services to uninsured or underinsured patients are entitled to reimbursement from the COVID-19 Coverage Assistance Fund established by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). However, verifying patient qualification is time-consuming, resulting in a backlog of reimbursements across the industry.

That is why Meduit has engaged SARA (Supervised Autonomous Revenue Associate) to solve this issue by:

    • Leveraging AI to identify eligible patient accounts
    • Checking diagnoses, coverages, and more to validate HRSA reimbursement
    • Filing for and accelerates reimbursements

With SARA working on your behalf, patient billing can be submitted to HRSA within one week of receiving credentials.

Meduit’s white paper – Are You Holding Unpaid Patient Bills Due to COVID-19? – demonstrates how SARA works through accounts to accelerate these reimbursements.
