Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare revenue cycle management continues to attract attention from attendees at conferences across the country. That was the case again at the 46th Michigan Emergency Medicine Assembly on Mackinac Island in Northern Michigan. The event was put on by the Michigan College of Emergency Physicians and held July 28-31.
John Fisher, Relationship Manager for Meduit, reported: “My goal was to talk about AI and our new product MedAutoCode with our clients and prospects. Because MedAutoCode is a good match for emergency departments and is 98% accurate, this new Meduit product caught a lot of people’s attention. Many of the doctors I talked to asked me to keep them in the loop about MedAutoCode. They want to see more from us as this new product unfolds.”
The MEMA summer conference provides continuing education for emergency medical personnel, including ER physicians and nurses. The agenda also included a fundraiser golf outing and awards banquet.
“Surprisingly, when I talked to representatives from other RCM companies who were exhibiting at the conference, most were more aware of robotics process automation, which Meduit utilizes extensively, but those same RCM companies were not aware of true AI solutions,” John said. “It’s exciting to be part of a company that is on the cutting edge of technology and is leading the way with AI.”
